ALGEBRAIC CURVES OVER A FINITE FIELD
With great pleasure, we announce the workshop "Algebraic Curves over a Finite Field", that will be held on 13-16 June 2023, at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (Perugia).
The aim of the conference is to bring together the community working on algebraic curves over finite fields and to foster collaboration.

Registration and program
To attend the Workshop, please fill and send the registration form. Registration is closed.
The registration fee (50 euro) can be paid by bank transfer or upon arrival by cash, see the registration form.
The main topics that will be discussed are: curves with many rational points, automorphisms of curves in positive characteristic, applications of curves in Coding Theory and Cryptography, and the interplay between Galois Geometries and curves.
Every day will begin at 10.00 AM with an introductory talk, where five selected speakers will present relevant open problems:
Tuesday: Gábor Korchmáros - Automorphisms of curves.
Wednesday: Herivelto Borges - Curves in Finite Geometry.
Thursday: Daniele Bartoli - Curves in Coding and Cryptography.
Friday: Massimo Giulietti & Giovanni Zini - Curves with many points.
The remaining part of the morning will be reserved for more informal talks, brainstorming and open discussions. In the afternoons, some rooms at the Department will be available for small groups who wish to work jointly on a specific research problem.
